[Carla's been here since the flood folks. She's been here since the flood and you might have seen her walking around in her policeman's uniform. With her hands behind her she looks...far too professional for it to be normal. Her badge is polished, hair professional.]

[she drops her hands slightly, hitting against her knee.] here to inform you that as a warden I will listen, I will care, and I will do this job to the best of my ability. [She looks distinctly uncomfortable for a moment before she shuts the feed off.]

Indulge me. A lot of people think of different reasons. What's your first guess?

Hmmm. There could be any number of reasons, as you said. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that you were a lot closer to your father growing up than your mother.

[He knows that both Helga and Ramirez were close to their fathers and both turned out much like their fathers. He doesn't appear to even notice the cutesy act.]

You would be correct. My father and mother were both police officers. [so were her brothers. All of them. It's a very blue-collar family]

So it's in your blood as well. Certainly nothing wrong with that. My father was in the Army so I followed in his footsteps.

Yeah? What did he do?

He was a Calvary Officer.

My dad was a Detective.

My brothers were-well no, only one ended up being a direct Detective.

You like what he did for a living?

I was proud of what he did. He gave his life for it. I knew early on I wanted to join the Army like he did.

He sounds like a good guy. Righteous and did what was right for his country just like you?

[Does he catch a hint of possibly "leading" words there? He chuckles lightly and nods.]

Well, one important area is the CES.

It apparently allows for virtual recreations of natural environments. It doesn't seem all that important, but Inmates are restricted from accessing it alone so...

[An eyebrow is raised] ...Any particular environment you're looking for?

[He shakes his head.] Feel free to choose one yourself if you wish to try it out.

[curiousity overrode common sense. She'd walked past it but never tried it. Shifting to the left, she pulled out her necklace making sure nobody could see and pressed it against the door.

[While he played up the image of not caring, he'd actually be watching very closely just in case he managed to get access to a Warden's item. When it opened to reveal the forest, he smiled.]
